Wellbeing

Our chaplaincy and student welfare services complement the care offered by other helping disciplines. These services aim to assist our community through the provision of help and care which support the personal and social well-being of students and the school community.

At Holy Trinity Primary, Libby Ridley works closely with staff and the school counsellor to support the pastoral care and well-being of everyone at Holy Trinity. This team works closely to ensure a consistency of service and diligent attention to the well-being of our students.

As a chaplain, Libby has assisted with programs such as Seasons for Growth, ESL and Aboriginal learning, behaviour plans and staff support initiatives.

It is not compulsory for any student to participate in activities or receive services from a school chaplain/student welfare worker.

The role of our chaplain and her importance in our school was discussed with and endorsed by our school council. Our staff have been consulted as to their support of the continuation of this service in our school, and the results showed a unanimous show of support. We regularly receive positive feedback about the chaplain’s service, verbally and in writing, from students and families.

We also offer counselling services

Our school counsellor supports our students no matter who they are.
